Milan, Italy! We had two days here too, and we took the necessary trains to get to the city center to explore. I think these photos are my favourite from the tour, and I had a great time in Milan. My camera battery died immediately after taking the last photo, so I wish I could've taken more. We went to see The Last Supper and I think PK snagged an illegal photo of it on his cell phone.
Berlin, Germany is the next stop. Here Dougie, Paul and I sussed out a train that took us downtown on a gloomy, overcast afternoon. Berlin is one of the newer architectural cities in Germany after the Second World War, but the mix of old and new is quite pretty.
Prague, Czech Republic is one of my favourite European cities so far! I love the uniqueness and preservation of the aging architecture. We had two days here, and I wondered down to the city center with the band and crew, and later ventured off on my own to find delicious vegan food. Later on I bumped into the Cancer Bats and continued along with them for the remainder of the evening. We had tacos for dinner, too.

Here's the first set of photos from Europe that I'm about to post, from Dresden Germany. Dresden is a really cool city with a lot of texture, culture and architecture. Slaughterhouse Five is based in Dresden, and I attempted to take some sort of walking Kurt Vonnegut tour, but the guides were sick that week. Here's what I saw on my own exploring.
i just came across these photos from our stop in ottawa this fall. i was lucky enough to reconnect with my acting-childhood-punk-rock-big-sister mandi lunan. mandi has been living in ottawa for a few years, and has recently launched her very own vegan bakery under the moniker auntie loo's treats. my friend and fellow vegan / adored photographer / show promoter / jaded record storeowner / avid tweeter / zine interview rejecter (i'm holding you to that) shawn scallen picked me up and took me by mandi's bakery, where we mealed hard on some chinese take out and these delicious chocolate brownies with peanut butter icing. fresh and hot out of the oven!

happy new year! i've really fallen behind on this whole "end of year" blogging business. i really promise that i will have a few year and decade end lists to post before the end of the month.
